Jay joined Lovat House Dental in 2019 to provide endodontic treatment (root fillings). He has an MSc in Endodontics, which has developed his skills in this field.
He was a principle of a busy city practice in Birmingham for more than 12 years, as well as being a trainer for newly qualified dentists for 10 years. He has a post graduate qualification in restorative dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute in London, as well as his MSc in Endodontics. He is a Clinical Dental Tutor at University of Birmingham School of Dentistry, responsible for teaching and clinical supervision of students during their treatment sessions.
Jay qualified from Birmingham University with Honours and Clinical Distinction in 1996. He gained his membership to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons in 1998 and embarked in his career within General Practice within Birmingham.
He has since owned and managed his own practice as well as being a Foundation Dentist Trainer for Health Education West Midlands for 10 years. He further gained his post graduate restorative qualification from the Eastman Dental School, London in 2010. In 2017 he passed his MSc in Endodontic Practice at Queen Mary University London with Merit. Jay is also currently a part time clinical dental tutor at Birmingham Dental School where he supervises and teaches undergraduate dental students. Jay will always ensure both the referring dentist and patients receive the best professional care and relationship.
Jay is married with two children and in his spare time enjoys jogging, gym and
cinema.

Registered patients will usually be offered an appointment on the same day, if the practice is open.
We will try to accommodate new patients, but priority is always given to our existing registered patients.
During weekends and bank holidays, when the practice is closed an emergency contact number is available on the practice answering machine. This service is available to registered patients only. The on call dentist will be able to offer advice between 7:30am to 9:30am. If the practice needs to be opened for out of hours treatment a £150 call out charge may be incurred as well as charges for any treatment carried out.
